I work close by so I went there for lunch. I have to say for $9 buffet, I was a little skeptical at first but once there was very impressed. I dont know anywhere else in the area I could eat that healthy and fresh for this price. I had the whole wheat pasta with a fresh tomato sauce, salmon (which was not overcooked even though it was a buffet), a great potato soup that you could tell didnt have that much cream if any at all but was still flavorful, sauteed/grilled broccoli & string beans with grilled fresh garlic and salad. I really enjoyed myself and was so excited to find such good food at this price. Will go back again.

This use to be PIER 5, Then it was ACQUOLINA, now it is ACQUO 124. Does not matter what the name is because the food is delicious. They have valet parking. They take reservations. 954 454 8568. When you walk in there is a room with a bar and music that is very nice but hard to talk in. The service was terrific. The bread was the best ever. WE had the chopped salad and then went on to the main dinner and everyone enjoyed what they had from chicken to shrimp to pasta. Hope you enjoy!!!

I have gone here several times for large family dinners, but this last weekend I went for papa's birthday. We ate and drank at very reasonable prices, and everyone at the table agreed this place blew away our expectations. For a relatively quiet, unassuming restaurant, this place excels in service and quality, real good quality. Order to share. Plates, even the half portions, are enormous! But quantity does not sacrifice quality. Some tips: The Zuppa di Cozza (White) were so fresh, so large, so tasty. I usually don't even eat mussels. The meatballs here are recommended. The tiramisu was AMAZING! We were all fighting for the plate. Best Ever. The ambiance here is definitely amusing. An older/senior crowd are the regulars. Busy for early dinner, easy to sit for later seatings. There is always a young gentlemen on the keys and singing everything form Sinatra to lounge style covers of Michael Jackson. There is always the accompanying elderly couple dancing by the bar, and several more that stay and get louder and less appropriate as the hours pass. For some reason, every member of the staff speaks to you in Italianish, describing plates in words I don't understand and are probably made up, but it adds to the experience (I don't think half of them are Italian). Family style, good times.

The valet was quick & friendly, Had reservation's, Our waiter was well why I am giving this 3 stars. He complained he was tired, had worked 3 shifts, lol I said, well u still need to smile, & not hurry us, It's my b-day & we want to enjoy, The bus guy(William) was so sweet & fast , help us more then (Sebastian), Ok, The stuffed mushrooms were small & bready,The salad Arugula & Romaine was cold crisp , very tastie, Lots of walnuts, we order family size , expexting enough for all of us, NOT.. Then dinner we had Puttanesca, & eggplant rollintini, very tastey, lots of flavor and pasta cooked just right. So I have to say all in all the food was delish, just our server was slow & not with it. Spoke to the manager Paul, well he could of cared less. Not good. I can say, There are to many great restaurants around, That we will not be back, due to the service and Pauls attitude..

Arrived and valet took the car, off to a good start. The bruschetta is delicious; real good flavor and nice size serving. The dinner we went to was a buffet style event so it is hard to give the restaurant an overall rating. But, what we did try was very good and tasty; we had some Penne Vodka, Chicken Marsala, Parmesan Chicken, and meatballs, all were delicious. We ordered some bottles of wine and finally the singer began her rounds, I had heard of a great voice but had yet to hear one, and then she began. The music, food, group of friends and ambiance all played a big roll in making this evening a memorable one. The Tiramisu at the end was enjoyed by many but to be honest, I have never been a fan so I stayed away. Nice to have a restaurant like this around and will definitely have to be back to try it on a regular evening.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
